In this second episode of ‘More than guts’, Consultant Gastroenterologist and IBD specialist Dr Philip Smith at the Royal Liverpool Hospital is joined by Karen Kemp, an IBD Consultant Nurse and Neil Gooding, who was one of the first children ever diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Together, they discuss their experiences of long-term care for IBD within the NHS, challenges with achieving continuity of care and what’s needed now to effectively meet patient needs.
